ICOA: International Collegiate Origami Association

ICOA (International Collegiate Origami Association) is a branch organization of JOAS established to support long-standing international activities of college-level origami groups all over the world. Currently we are holding exhibition events with models created/folded by our members and other college students.

Call for models for the ICOA Exhibition 2019-2020

This year, we are planning to start the exhibition events from August at the time of the 25th Origami Tanteidan Convention in Tokyo.

Qualification
The applicant must be a college student at present.
Application will be done in two categories :
A. The Original Models Section and B. The Etude Section (i.e., Folding Models Created by Somebody Else). The applicants must send the following pieces of information to by July 20, 2019.
  • A.The Original Models Section
    1. Name of the Applicant and Contact Address (possibly electronic)
    2. Name of the college and grade (Fresher, Sophomore, Junior, Senior)
    3. Title of the model
    4. Size of the model
    5. The way to carry in the model to the exhibition site (In person (on the day of the event), In person (in advance), Mail, Other Carrier) Please attach the photo of the model to be exhibited to your e-mail so that we can see the look of it when it is exhibited.
    6. Do you want the model to be returned after the event? Yes/No
    7. Paper (From an uncut square sheet (size of the sheet), modular (number of modules), composite model, others (the shape of the sheet and the size))
    8. Comments (less than 30 words)
  • B. The Etude Section
    In addition to the information above, the following should be specified in your e-mail.
    1. The creator of the model, and the resource from which you came to know it
    2. The photo of the model (Must be clear enough so that we can see the whole picture of the model. The file name should be “(Your Name) + (Model)”.) The Etude Section models will go through the previous screening procedure.
